Reflexology
is one of the most popular natural therapies used by women during
pregnancy because it helps to improve general well-being and vitality.
Reflexology
aims to bring about a state of deep relaxation so that your body
can adjust to the major changes taking place during pregnancy.
It aims to improve circulation, breathing, digestion, regulate
blood pressure, aids sleep and helps to alleviate many of the
aches and pains of pregnancy.
Many expectant
mothers continue to work right up to their estimated due dates
and can often go into labour feeling exhausted. Reflexology has
great restorative effects and aims to bring your body into balance
in preparation for whatever kind of birthing you experience.
It is also thought that reflexology can be of great benefit to
people suffering with fertility problems. During recent feedback
from members, The Association of Reflexologists found that on
average about 50% of clients seeking help through reflexology
for infertility, found themselves pregnant within 6 months of
commencing treatment.
It is beneficial
for both partners to receive reflexology treatment when planning
a pregnancy. There are many reasons for subfertility and in some
cases IVF or IUI are the only options, reflexology in this instance
aims to balance both body and mind to ensure that you are in the
most relaxed state for your fertility treatment.
