Babies who suffer from colic often cry persistently and can be
very difficult to soothe. There is no known cause and unfortunately
no one cure for all.
Symptoms of colic can be;
- Prolonged bouts of crying in the late afternoon/early evening
- Difficulty in bringing up wind
- Constipation
- Bringing legs to the stomach through pain
- Hard stomach
Babies have immature digestive systems and this causes wind to
become trapped which is very painful for baby. Parents often feel
completely helpless. Baby massage can help parents to feel more
empowered as baby massage helps to tone baby's digestive tract
so that baby can expel trapped wind, offering baby relief.
The Colic Workshop aims to support parents with colicky babies
and teaches parents massage designed to help alleviate symptoms
of colic. This usually takes place on a one-to-one basis in your
home and can take place before baby is 6 weeks.
